Are you ready to get out this summer and explore some local food vendors, handmade crafts, music, and more?
The Center Church in South Modesto has kicked off its “La Plazita de South Modesto” Summer Series Event and plans to run through mid-September. The Event is hosted every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
“I wanted to create a space where people could support local business, connect, and build relationships,” Anthony Bargas Pastor of The Center Church reflected on the vision for La Plazita.
The Center Church aims to intentionally invest in the neighborhood in which they reside by creating a space for people to utilize their skills and abilities as they build on social entrepreneurship development. This empowers their neighbors as leaders rather than fostering dependence.
“Our goal is to continue to listen to our neighbors as we become a supportive spiritual community in the neighborhood,” Bargas stated.
La Plazita de South Modesto is hosted in partnership with Manos Unidas, South Modesto Youth Leadership (SMYL), Sisterhood of Stanislaus County, and City Ministry Network.
